Good update! The majority of the usual bugfixes are in 2023 R1. A couple of features I appreciate: link objects from another model by right-clicking the object instead of typing the long name (and the uppercase one at that!). Of course, you can then also quickly remove the link when not in use if youre a Revit guy. The other feature I really appreciate is that you can now quickly turn a staircase object into a door into another part of your model. For those of us who do a lot of draughtsmanship, this is a great time saver. With those two improvements, this is shaping up to be a real Revit blockbuster!

I have some comments about the 2023 R1 version of Revit. I am a new user so I don’t have a lot of experience with Revit. You have done a good job of smoothing out the interface and simplifying it. I have a few suggestions for enhancements. You should consider linking to external images in your model using either embedding or the web which is much more efficient than adding the image to the model data. Also, you should consider linking in other databases as well as including your own standardized database for consistency. You can then add various layouts to support your workflow using a separate database. Finally, I would suggest providing a way to create layouts or components that are independent of the various workflows. For example, I create a lot of doors and windows when I design a project and then I store the components in my standardized database. Then, when I go back to create them, they are tied to a workflow and a parameter that only stores certain components, so I end up with doors and windows that are all the same. I could just create doors or windows, but then I would lose the workflow, which I find to be a time saver when I have several different projects underway.
