First of all, if you have the idea that Creative have made Kontakt 6 free it is absolute nonsense. What is that about? And then paying for a 60% increase in CPU usage to run it on your computer? I love you as a customer, but you have absolutely no business charging for such an insultingly poor plugin.

After switching to the new “Polish” interface, I went to try it out with the last demo file in my Kontakt Library and saw that it loaded like a cup of coffee, but the interface itself was like a flippin’ nail in the head. I could never use it! I couldn’t figure out what some of the symbols meant, what the damn menus were for, where to find (or make) the demo files, how to turn on the “dark” mode, which of course there isn’t a light mode, there was no way to get rid of it. I couldn’t figure out how to open a standard file, I could open file extensions, but not the standard ones, and the file icons were unintelligible. Eventually, I forced myself to change the interface back to the old one using an easy-to-use mouse trick and I am back to using it again. The interface finally looks nice, but the process of figuring it all out, when it is important to me, and just the memory consumption… the damn thing is just a drag.
